Hi, I’m Breann—the girl behind the camera at Southern Shutter Photography. I’m a wife, a mama to my sweet baby boy, and dog mom to two German Shepherds who keep life fun and a little chaotic. When I’m not behind the lens, you can usually find me outside—riding horses, fishing, hiking, or just soaking up time with my family. Photography started as a way for me to hold onto the moments that pass too quickly, and now I love helping other families do the same with genuine, joy-filled images you’ll cherish forever.
My approach
I believe the best sessions happen when we let kids be kids—it’s their world, after all. My approach is relaxed and child-led, with gentle guidance to keep things flowing while capturing genuine connection, personality, and those fleeting, in-between moments.
For seniors and maternity sessions, I carry that same relaxed, natural approach—centering the experience around you and your story. I’ll guide you every step of the way so you feel confident and comfortable, while still leaving room for genuine moments to unfold naturally. The result is a collection of images that feel effortless, authentic, and true to this season of your life.
